J&K is in immediate need of an Experienced Tower Climber/ RF Field Technician in the Columbia City area. This list of responsibilities is not all inclusive:
• Installation and removal of LMR, SCADA and Microwave radio systems on free standing towers and water tanks.
• Knowledge of equipment, climbing, rigging and safety procedures is a plus but can be taught.
• Basic working knowledge of Direct and Alternating electrical current.
• Install and maintain radio systems, including base stations, repeaters, mobile radios, point-to-point, point-to-multipoint radios and microwave radio systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair radio equipment, including diagnosing faults and replacing faulty components.
• Networking and routing knowledge to include LAN, WAN, OSPF and BGP
• Knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols to include, Ethernet, ARP, IP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, IGMP, ICMP and DHCP
• Knowledge of PLC/RTU communications protocols
• Diagnose, repair, and install antenna systems and RF filtering systems.
• Construction of electrical panels based on blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Diagnose, repair, and install DC and AC circuits.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections of radio equipment.
• Research and evaluate system problems and recommend a solution.
• Work with the sales team to assist in coordinating project installation/deployments.
• Assist with the specifications and design of dispatch and remote communications installations.
• Participate in on-call rotation for afterhours emergency call outs. Current rotation consists of approximately 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 6 weeks. An additional daily incentive when on-call, whether called out or not.

**$5,000 Sign-On Bonus For Experienced Industrial Communications Radio Technician**

The basic functions of the Two-Way Radio Systems Technician at J & K Communications, Inc. is to perform in-house and in-field responses to radio problems, as well as perform component level repairs on fixed site, mobile and portable equipment. · Install and maintain two-way radio systems, including base stations, repeaters, and mobile radios.

The Office Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily administrative, customer service and operational functions of the Indianapolis office. This role serves as a central point of contact for customers for the Indianapolis office to ensure efficient office operations, accurate order processing, and a high level of customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service & Front Office Support
· Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and in person
· Greet customers and assist with counter sales as needed
· Respond to customer inquiries and follow up to ensure timely resolution
· Establish, update, and maintain accurate customer records and files
Office Operations & Coordination
· Support daily office operations and administrative procedures
· Coordinate incoming and outgoing communications (email, phone, and mail)
· Manage office supplies, radios, and parts inventory for the location
· Collaborate with purchasing and other departments to support operational needs
· Assist with staging and auditing job boxes before and after jobs are completed
Shipping, Receiving & Equipment Processing
· Check in radios and equipment received from customers, technical staff, and factory returns
· Inspect incoming equipment and coordinate outgoing shipments
· Process inbound and outbound UPS shipments
Work Environment & Expectations
· Primarily office-based with occasional light warehouse or equipment handling duties
· Professional interaction with customers, vendors, and internal team members
· The role operates independently for much of the workday and is expected to take ownership of responsibilities, manage priorities effectively, and seek guidance when needed.
· Consistent punctuality and regular onsite attendance during scheduled work hours are essential functions of this role.
